MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH MONTH AND INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY

International Men’s Day falls on the 19th November, and is dedicated to focussing on a wider range of men’s health issues.

Unfortunately men tend to be more reluctant to seek help or treatment for their mental health struggles and talking about your problems is not really accepted (it’s not a guy thing)

SAMH AND ANNAN RUGBY

We at Annan Rugby have wanted to become involved in joining Scotland’s Mental Health Charter for Physical Activity and Sport for Clubs and Communities.

So I am delighted to say that I’ve just received an email informing us that we have become a signatory for the aforementioned.

We would like to highlight World Suicide Prevention Day, a most important day with 1 in 3 people struggling with their Mental Health at some point in their lives.

ANNAN RUGBY PLAY PARK DEVELOPMENT

After successfully obtaining planning permission to install a play park facility next to the pavilion at Violetbank, Annan Rugby are delighted to announce they have received £9,900 from the National Lottery Community Fund and a further £2,000 from the Scottish Rugby Club Sustainability Fund towards the completion of the project, which is due to commence in the coming weeks.

STEWART MARSHALL

Annan Rugby are saddened to hear of the death of Stewart “Bruno” Marshall, who sadly passed away yesterday.

Stewart was one of the founding players of Annan Rugby and played for the club in 70’s and 80’s and was a great supporter of the club.

The clubs deepest sympathies to Stewart’s wife Janice and his family and friends.
