Purpose of the Role:

To oversee all aspects of senior rugby, ensuring high standards of coaching, player development, and matchday performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of senior training programmes.
  • Support coaches in planning sessions, performance reviews, and player development plans.
  • Coordinate player recruitment, retention, and progression across teams.
  • Manage matchday operations, including team selection, logistics, and communication.
  • Ensure a positive and safe environment for all players and staff.
  • Liaise with the committee on rugby strategy, player needs, and season planning.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of rugby and coaching principles.
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and planning.

Purpose of the Role:

To oversee the structure, delivery, and development of youth rugby across the club, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and progressive experience for all young players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and organise youth coaches, team managers, and volunteers.
  • Ensure all safeguarding and welfare policies are understood and followed.
  • Maintain clear pathways for player development from mini to youth to senior rugby.
  • Build relationships with schools, community groups, and regional rugby bodies.
  • Manage youth training schedules, pitch allocation, and matchday organisation.
  • Support club recruitment and retention of young players.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work with children and parents.
  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements.
  • Coaching experience desirable but not essential.

Purpose of the Role:

To ensure the club’s facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to a high standard and are safe and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance of pitches, club buildings, changing rooms, and surrounding areas.
  • Coordinate repairs, improvements, and contractor work.
  • Manage pitch scheduling across senior, youth, and external users.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain club equipment and storage areas.
  • Report facility needs and budget requirements to the committee.

Skills & Experience:

  • Practical skills related to maintenance or facility oversight.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.


Purpose of the Role:

To manage the administrative functions of the club, ensuring smooth governance and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and record meetings (committee, AGM, subcommittees).
  • Maintain club records, minutes, policies, and compliance documents.
  • Process player registrations, affiliations, and official documentation.
  • Handle incoming correspondence and act as a central point of communication.
  • Support the committee with governance, rule updates, and procedures.
  • Ensure deadlines set by governing bodies are met.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Good written and verbal communication.

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the financial affairs of the club responsibly and transparently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all club income, expenditure, and banking.
  • Produce monthly financial reports for the committee.
  • Prepare the annual budget and end-of-year accounts.
  • Ensure memberships, fees, and payments are collected and recorded.
  • Support fundraising and sponsorship planning from a financial perspective.
  • Maintain financial compliance and support any audits required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with financial management or bookkeeping.
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with accounting software or spreadsheets.

Purpose of the Role:

To promote the club’s brand, activities, teams, and events through effective communication and digital outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media, website content, and club announcements.
  • Promote fixtures, results, events, and community initiatives.
  • Ensure branding consistency across all materials.
  • Create marketing material for campaigns, fundraising, and membership growth.
  • Support sponsors by promoting their involvement.
  • Develop fan engagement strategies and increase the club’s visibility.

Skills & Experience:

  • Creativity and digital content skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms and marketing tools.
  • Strong communication and writing ability.

Purpose of the Role:

To drive income and business growth through sponsorships, partnerships, and commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach potential sponsors and partners.
  • Maintain existing commercial relationships.
  • Create sponsorship packages and proposals.
  • Oversee merchandising and retail opportunities.
  • Work with the marketing and fundraising teams to support revenue-generating activities.
