Enjoy the winning beers lads!

The 2nd XV travel to Cambuslang on Saturday their final league match of the stop start league season.

Its been a touch grind for the 2nd XV this season and hopefully next season the league structure and fixtures will be more suited to teams that want to play rugby regardless of the distance they need to travel.

The 2nd XV travelled to Cambuslang earlier on  in the season where the Lanarkshire based time came out on top. The lads will be hoping to put on a better performance this Saturday and end their 2022/23 league season with a win

Kick Off: 2pm

The team also have a friendly penciled in for the 22nd April at home to Livingston.

WARRIORS IN SEMI-FINAL CLASH

STOP PRESS: Grangemouth 34 v Warriors 12. Unlucky Warriors. Points from Nicole (2T) and Hannah (C). Next year Warriors!

Match report and Nicole’s tries and full match Now Online

After the Warriors came 2nd in their pool in the National Plate, the team had to wait until last Saturday to see if they would qualify for the semi-finals of the National Plate as best 2nd placed team.

The match that would determine their fate was the Caithness Krakens v Strathmore Ladies game. If the losing team of this match gained a bonus point by losing by 7 or less points or scoring 4 tries then the Warriors Plate run would be over for another year.

Caithness lost by 8 points and scored only 3 tries (phew!) putting the Warriors into the semi-final with a a match away to Group B winners Grangemouth Ladies on Sunday.

This will be the toughest match of the Warriors season against a team that came second in their league season and will have home advantage.

The Warriors will be up for it though as the prize to the winner is a final appearance at Murrayfield on the 6th May.

The teams have met before 3 times, but the last meeting was back in 2017 and the majority of the players from both teams will be meeting each other for the first time. Captain Nicole is not be one of them though as Nicole has played the Grangemouth team on all 3 occasions and will be aiming to make it 4 wins from 4 on Sunday!

Massive match for the Warriors and a big travelling support would be most appreciated as the team try and get to a Murrayfield final for the first time.

Kick Off: 2pm

Warriors XV squad: 1 J Warrick 2 M Brogan 3 C Richardson 4 H Paterson 5 M Muir 6 R Parker-Clevett 7 K Warrick 8 A Clark (vc) 9 N Barlow (c) 10 L Glendinning (vc) 11 K Morrison 12 S Wylie 13 J Clark 14 K Barlow 15 S Hunter 16 S Taylor 17 M Cother 18 H Clark 19 L Stevenson 20 L McGregor 21 J Graham 22 R Carroll

YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION

STOP PRESS: The U14 Girls win both their matches. Scoring 22 tries in the process and conceding just 6. Well played Hornets. Match report and match highlights – Now Online

Only the U14-U16 Girls in action this Sunday and they are off to Moffat on Sunday for a series of matches. Start time is a 12.15pm for the U14 Girls and 2pm for the U16 Girls

The U14-U16 Girls are probably the most successful squad in the club just now and will be wanting to continue their fine form on Sunday.
