RUGBY MATCHES
WARRIORS HOST THE LEAGUE LEADERS
The Warriors are the only senior team in action this weekend as they welcome West 1 leaders Oban to Violetbank.
With 4 matches left, the Warriors find themselves in 5th spot, 1 place above the relegation place, so every point counts in the Warriors’ West 1 survival chances come season’s end
Oban are currently unbeaten this season, and the Warriors trip up north earlier in the season was one to forget. Oban will be firm favourites in this match, but the Warriors at Violetbank are always a tough team to beat.
Case in point, when an unbeaten team came down 2 seasons ago to end their season on a played 10 won 10 record, the Warriors thrashed them 44-0.
If the Warriors play like they know they can and things click, then there is no reason why the Warriors can’t come away with 4 or 5 points. But it will be a tough ask!
2pm kick-off
YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION
On Sunday, 3 youth teams are in action
The U13 Boys are hosting Allan Glens and Cartha at Violetbank while the U14 Boys are away to Ardrossan
The U18 Girls are with the D&G U18 Girls team as they take on Dundee U18 Girls at Park Farm, Dumfries in their latest National Cup match.
Best of luck to all the teams this weekend.
