THIS WEEKEND AT ANNAN RUGBY

With the 6 Nations back on Saturday only the youth teams are in rugby action this weekend,

On Sunday, our U18 Girls are joining up with Biggar Girls as they take on D&G Girls, the U16 Girls have a home rugby festival as they hosts teams from around the region, the U15 Boys finally start their cup campaign with a home tie v Marr while the P1-P7 Tigers are off to Moffat

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend.

With the 3rd round of the 6 Nations starting on Saturday, both 1st and 2nd XV’s have a free Saturday. Which gives the players time to watch the Scotland match at the clubhouse at 17 Bank Street.

Doors open at 1.30pm for the 2.15pm kick off. The England v Wales match will also be shown with a 4.45pm kick off.

All welcome to come along and watch the match in the comfort of the clubhouse and great company

Free half time pies as well!

6 YOUTH SQUADS IN ACTION ON SUNDAY

STOP PRESS: The U16 Girls are undefeated and march onwards to the semifinals in the 13th March. The U15 Boys go down to Marr in a tough, physical match. The U18 Girls match was called off due to pitch conditions while the P1-P7 Tigers were amazing as always.

Its not been a great start to 2022 for all the Annan teams with matches being postponed due to the weather and pitch conditions (Summer Rugby anyone?) but it’s hoped that if the rain would just stop for a few days then there will be a feast of rugby on Sunday.

At Violetbank, the U16 Girls host various clubs from around the region for the final round of the SRU Bowl group matches to determine the teams that progress into the semi finals. The U16 Girls have had a great tournament so far with 4 wins from 5 matches and will be wanting to continue this form on Sunday. All kicks off at 10.45am

Later on at Violetbank, the U15 Boys take centre stage as they host Marr Rugby. It will be the first match for the U15 Boys in the group U15 Boys Cup matches after numerous false starts. It will be a tough match against a experience Marr squad but the lads will, as always, be up for it. Match kicks off at 2pm

Combined with the U16 Girls, thats 3-4 hours of rugby action on Sunday at Violetbank. All welcome to come along to support the players and see some great rugby from the future of rugby in SW Scotland.

On the road on Sunday, our U18 girls team up once again with Biggar Girls as they have a derby match against D&G Girls at Biggar. 12.15pm KO

While the 3 best squads in the club, the P1-P3, P4-P5 and P6-P7 Tigers are off to our friends and neighbors Moffat Rams in the latest Micro and Mini Rugby Festivals being held around the region. 10.30am meet for a 11am start.

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend. Hope the weather is kind!
