END OF WEEKEND SUMMARY.

SATURDAY UPDATE: BOTH XV’S GO DOWN

Alas both the 1st and 2nd XV lost their latest league matches.

The 1st XV were taking on league leaders and favourites for the league Allan Glens but it wasn’t the thumping that many outside of Annan (but no-one in Annan) were expecting.

Allan Glens have been thrashing most teams this season in the League and Shield but today the black and amber almost ended that run.

The game was in the balance for most of the match and the 2nd half was all Annan and a deserved win looked on the cards but it was not to be.

Red Mist on the attack

The Red Mist on the attack!

A converted try at the death taking away a losing bonus point for the Annan and it ended 29-18 to the Bishopbriggs side. Congratulations to them.

Annan points from Josh (x2) and Logan tries and a Josh penalty.

The 1st XV are still stuck to the bottom of the West 1 Division but I doubt that will be the case by the end of the season!

The 2nd XV went down to Carrick 26-0 in their match. Onto the next one lads. Blend of youth and experience. It can and will only get better!

The 1st XV are now away to Irvine next weekend while the 2nd XV are at home to East Kilbride/Cambuslang.

SUNDAY UPDATE: ONLY THE TIGERS PLAY

Alas both the Hornets and Warriors matches were cancelled on Sunday due to the weather and Oban unable to fulfil their fixture.

The P6/P7 Tigers did manage to travel to Wigtownshire and ended up winning 4 from 4!

From Coach Jack “4 wins out of 4 today for the P6/7 Tigers at Wigtownshire. Some sore opposition bodies after their games with the Tigers”

Well played Tigers.

The U16 Tigers travelled to Ardrossan but due to lack of available players from Ardrossan the match was turned into a development match with 14 v 14, with 3 Annan players playing for Ardrossan.

The Annan/Ardrossan team beat the Annan team over three 20 minute periods.
