1ST XV TAKE ON LEAGUE LEADERS ALLAN GLENS AT VIOLETBANK

It’s top versus 10th top as leaders Allan Glens take on the Annan 1st XV at Violetbank on Saturday.

The 1st XV have lost 3 in a row in West 1 but have been getting better each match and are due to get a well earned win.

Unfortunately on Saturday they are taking on high-flyers and unbeaten Allan Glens.

The Bishopbriggs team are continuing their great form of last season and are big favourites for this West 1 clash.

The Annan 1st XV have not been getting the results their play has deserved so far this season and on Saturday they will be hoping to finally get the tick in the win column.

A big Annan support would as always be appreciated to spur the team on.

Players to meet at 13.45 for the 15.00 kick off.

Annan Starting 1st XV: R Glass, K Warrick, R Hetherington, N Coupland, M Thompson, D Nordon, C Bell, S Haren, A Jancey (Capt), H Houdley, J Kirby, D Wyllie, A Halliday, L Johnstone, J Whiteside

Annan 1st XV subs: J Crombie, C Smith, D Lockerby

THE 2ND XV ON THE ROAD TO CARRICK

After last week’s loss to now league leaders Marr, the 2nd XV will be hoping to get back onto winning ways when they travel to 5th placed Carrick.

The 2nd XV currently lie in 3rd sport but only 3 points behind leaders Marr so a big match on Saturday as a win will keep the pressure on the top 2

The 2nd XV squad is now the biggest it’s been in years with veterans Alastair “Babe” Graham and Ian “Tam” Thorburn leading the slightly younger squad!

Should be a great match.

Players to meet at Bank Street at TBC for the 15.00 kick off.

As always the mighty Twos are always on the lookout for new and available players for Saturday. Drop 2nd XV Team manager Gavin Lynch a message or on 07554 494262

Annan 2nd XV squad: B Conroy (Capt), J Park, M Duncan, B Sweeney, C Taylor, N Graham, C Grant, I Thorburn, A Carmichael, R Armstrong, E Campbell, R Barlow, A Graham, A.N. Other (x4)
