RUGBY MATCHES
SENIOR MEN BACK AT VIOLETBANK
For the final time this season, both the 1st and 2nd XVs are at Violetbank for their last home league matches of the season on Saturday.
The 1st XV welcome Cumnock while the 2nd XV host Marr.
It’s been a mixed, stop-start season for both squads, but they will want to end their home season on a high and pick up points in their battle to avoid relegation.
The 1st XV are probably safe from the drop, but the 2nd XV will most likely need to pick up a couple of wins from their last 3 matches.
The 2nd XV match kicks off at 2pm, while the 1st XV match kicks off at 3pm
WARRIORS ON NATIONAL PLATE DUTY
The Warriors will hopefully host Perthshire Ladies in their final group match of their National Plate Campaign.
The team have already qualified for the semi-finals, but the players and coaches will be wanting to get one final match in under their belts before they take on a still-to-be-determined semi-final opponent.
It’s been a frustrating National Plate so far for the Warriors, with teams pulling out of the fixtures, but it is hoped that the ladies from Perthshire will make the trip to Violetbank.
2pm KO
YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION
The big match of the weekend is on Sunday as the D&G U17 Girls are in the West U17 Girls Cup Final against Biggar. The D&G Girls have been improving all season and will be hoping to end their season on a high with a win in the final. Location and KO are still TBC at the time of writing.
On Wednesday, the U14 Girls are on the short trip to Dumfries to take on their U14 Girls squad. 6.30pm KO
Best of luck to all the teams this week
