RUGBY MATCHES

1ST & 2ND XV’S IN ANOTHER SET OF BIG MATCHES

The 1st XV and 2nd XV are both playing on Saturday. The 1st XV with a home tie against Dalziel while the 2nd XV are on the road to Hillhead Jordanhill

The men have been hit by a number of injuries and player unavailability in recent weeks but the coaches are hoping to put out 2 full squad this Saturday

The 1st XV welcome Dalziel to Violetbank.

After last week’s great win over East Kilbride, 6th placed Annan have a great chance of closing the gap on 5th placed Dalziel.

Annan still have to get themselves safe from relegation trouble and a win this Saturday would put them one step closer to West 1 rugby again next season.

Will be a tough match as always against the Motherwell based team but confidence it high in the team and the coaches and players will be wanting to put a run of wins together as the season comes to a close.

The 2nd XV have a trip to Hillhead Jordanhill on Saturday.

Last week they were heavily beaten but as Captain Simon Dix put it “For the 15 who went to Hamilton: a tough shift and we were on the back foot for large parts, but the effort and togetherness for the full 80 was outstanding. A lot of boys really stepped up when it mattered.

We might not have got the result, but we learned plenty about ourselves today. Massive effort lads — genuinely proud. Onwards and upwards”

The coaches will be hoping the team can travel in greater numbers on Saturday as having a number of replacements is always handy in this tough league.

Both matches kick off at 2pm

WARRIORS CONTINUE THEIR NATIONAL PLATE DEFENCE

The Warriors continue their defence of the National Plate on Sunday as  they welcome Whitecraigs Ladies to Violetbank for the first time

The teams have never met in the league or plate before but after last week’s great win over Marrlequins the Warriors will be hoping to make it 2 from2  as they aim to continue their perfect start in the National Plate.

The coaches will know that Cup matches are a different breed to league matches and the Warriors will need to be at 100% to come away with a 4 or 5 point win and keep themselves at the top of the group table

Match kicks off at 2pm

YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION

The U13 Boys are in action on Sunday as they travel to Cumnock for their second league match of 2026. The boys will be looking to add to their great wins they have had so far in 2026.

Kick off: TBC

The U17 Girls are travelling to Cambuslang on Sunday with the D&G U17 Girls as the team starts their West U17 Girls Cup Campaign. This is the 1st match of 5 group matches.

Kick off: TBC

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend
