1ST XV & 2ND XV ON THE ROAD TO CUMNOCK

STOP PRESS: Mixed fortunes as the 1st XV lose 40-12 but the 2nd XV win 45-24. Enjoy the bus journey home lads.

Coupled with Ardrossan shock lose to Carrick the 2nd XV are Champions of West Reserve Division 2 (South) for season 2024/25 – Well played lads.

2nd XV Match Report – Now Online

After last weeks cold snap, this Saturday the 1st and 2nd XV will hopefully start their 2025 rugby campaign with matches away to Cumnock.

The 2nd XV still have a chance at the West Reserve Division 2 title but will need to beat a Cumnock side still also in with a chance and hope that Carrick can beat current league leaders Ardrossan.

The 2nd XV will need to be on the top of their game v Cumnock to get a result while it will be fingers crossed that Carrick can win for the 1st time this season. But stranger things have happened and if the above scenario happens, the lads will return to Annan as West Reserve 2 Champions. Good luck lads.

The 1st XV will travel to Cumnock hoping to get back to winning ways after their last outing loss to Lenzie back in early December. Again it will be a tough match against a Cumnock side who are always a tough team to beat on their own patch. But with a 3rd place finish still a realistic possibility for Annan, the lads will be up for this match and for the remaining 6 matches of the league season.

Best of luck to both teams.

On Sunday, the Warriors have their first match on 2025 as they travel up the M90 to take on Lenzie in a friendly match on Sunday.

The players will be wanting to put in decent shift, shake off any ring rust and give the coaches a nice headache to have on who to select for the squad for the start of the National Plate competition the following Sunday.
