1ST XV HOST LEAGUE LEADERS

STOP PRESS: The 1st XV match has been POSTPONED and will be rearranged for later on in the season.

After a couple of away loses the 1st XV have a home tie on Saturday to try and steady the ship, unfortunately the team they are facing are league leaders Kilmarnock.

On the plus column Annan did beat Kilmarnock last time they met at Violetbank last season but the players and coaches know that if they are to get anything out of this match they need to be at 100% for the full 80+ minutes

A top 4 finish is still possible with the games the 1st XV have left and any points they can get from this match, be it 1, 2, 4 or 5 will go a long way to help achieve this aim

A big loud Annan home support would be most welcome to cheer on the team

2pm KO

1st XV Squad: N/A

WARRIORS IN A DERBY MATCH

STOP PRESS: The Warriors ease to victory to run out 44-0 winners. The match was called early on the 60th minute due to deteriorating weather conditions. Well played Warriors

Points: Mally (2T, 2C), Jane (3T), Lexie G (T), Lexie S (T), Niamh R (T)

Match Report, tries and full match – Now Online

.On Sunday the Warriors are on the short trip to Dumfries for their 1st match in the National Plate Group stages.

The Warriors away form this season has not been the best but hopefully the short trip and the fact it’s a derby match will help focus the mind!

The teams have never met at a competitive level with the Dumfries Ladies only forming a couple of years ago but the Saints side had a decent league season in West 3 and were unlucky not to get promotion so the Warriors will know they will have to be at the top of their game to get the win.

The Warriors team that played last week in Lenzie will hopefully be boosted by a number of senior players becoming available for this match.

Best of luck Warriors
