1st XV match report – Now Online
2nd XV match report – Now Online
Both the 1st and 2nd are off to East Kilbride on Saturday as they continue their respective West league campaigns.
For the 2nd XV they will be hoping to keep up the form they showed in their first match against Strathaven a few weeks ago and hold onto their top spot in the league.
For the 1st XV, it’s going to be a hard match as they are taking on an East Kilbride team flying high at the top end of West 1 with 3 wins from 3.
Last week East Kilbride hammered Dalziel, a team that did the same to Annan a few weeks ago so the Annan players will know they will have to be playing at 100% with no errors if they are to come away with anything from this match.
Despite the defeat last week to Lenzie, the team did play a lot better than they did against Dalziel and if they had had been a bit luckier with some of the decisions they might have easily come away with all 5 points.
So a massive match for the players that they need to win if they want to get themselves competing in the top half of the table this season as opposed to the bottom half

Match Report and Highlights – Now Online
Last Sunday, the Warriors started their West 2 league season with a bang, beating Hamilton Ladies in a 11 try demolition.
The players and coaches know that one win does not make the season and they team will be wanting to follow up this win with a good result on the road.
On Sunday they travel to Uddingston Ladies to take on the South Lanarkshire team.
This will be the first time the teams have met so it’s a bit of an unknown as to how Uddingston play but if the Warriors play like they did again Hamilton then there is no reason why they cant come back to Bank Street with the full 5 points.
Will be an interesting match as the Warriors aim to keep themselves at the top of the table and the 1 promotion spot
KO: 2pm
Annan Warriors squad: 1) Ayda Chierchia 2) Megan Brogan 3) Julie Warrick 4) Rhianna Parker-Clevett 5) Jackie Stitt 6) Ashley Clark © 7) Erin Ewing 8) Kayleigh Warrick 9) Niamh Ross 10) Nicole Jancey 11) Amber Pattullo 12) Malvina McGeoch (vc) 13) Joanne Clark 14) Katie Morrison 15) Jane Haren 16) Jamie Graham 17) Acacia Clash
YOUTH SQUADS IN ACTION
STOP PRESS: Great match but the U18 lads go down 41-7. Well played lads.
Well played to the U16 Girls who won again 44-19 against Strathendrick.
And the U16 Boys just go down 43-36 to Garnock. Well played all
Another busy weekend as lots of Youth players in action on Saturday and Sunday
On Saturday, it’s derby day, as the U18 Boys host Newton Stewart at Violetbank. 2pm KO
While on Sunday 5 age groups in action.
The P1-P7 Tigers are off to Dumfries. 10.30am start
While the U14 Girls are off to Ayr (tbc KO) and the U16 Girls home to Strathendrick (12pm KO)
For the U16 Girls, the Strathendrick team will be coming to Violetbank full of confidence with 2 wins from 2 but the U16 Girls know a win here will bode well for their aim to be in the top 4 of the league and into the next round of the National League competition.
Still a long way to go through with 7 matches to be played in total.
Annan U18 Girls will be joining players from the other clubs in D&G (bar Dumfries) as they travel to Glenrothes as the D&G Girls take on Fife and Dundee
Finally the U16 Boys are off again on the road as they travel to Garnock is their latest league match, 2pm KO
Best of luck to all the teams this weekend
