ANNAN 1ST XV ARE AT HOME

STOP PRESS: The lads go down 33-15 to Lenzie.

Points from 2 Aaron Carmichael tries and 1 from Ryan Hetherington

Annan were playing catch up after going 14-0 down early in the 1st half. The lads came close 3 more times but were deemed held up each time.

Onto the next one lads.

The Annan 1st XV have their 2nd home league match of the season on Saturday as they host Lenzie.

After last weeks poor result at Dalziel the players and coaches will be hoping for a better performance this weekend.

Lenzie beat Annan last year in the corresponding fixture but Annan still have a decent record against the East Dunbartonshire club.

If Annan want to avoid a relegation battle this season and perhaps challenge for top half/three finish then winning the home matches is a must.

Should be a great match.

3pm KO

Annan 1st XV squad: 1 Ryan Glass 2 Callum Bell 3 Keiron Warrick (C) 4 James Morrison 5 Ollie Ferdinand 6 Stewart Livingstone 7 Wallace Alexander 8 Ryan Hetherington 9 Josh Whiteside 10 Fraser McMillan 11 James Kirby 12 Johnny Callaghan 13 Aitken Render 14 Lex Stevenson 15 Aaron Carmichael 16 Sean Haren 17 Callum Taylor 18 Murray Forbes 19 Eben Le Vin 20 Callum Smith 21 Ben Latimer 22 Alex Jones

ANNAN WARRIORS START THEIR LEAGUE SEASON

After a decent pre season the Warriors start the league season on Sunday as they host Hamilton Ladies.

Its the first time the teams have met at Violetbank and the teams have only met once back in 2022 when the Warriors ran out convincing winners

With the Warriors being relegated from West 1 to West 2 this season, if the Warriors want to get back in West 1 for next season and it only being a 10 match season, a good start is needed to put down a marker for the rest of the season.

The coaches will have been pleased with the pre season as the Warriors have shown they can score from anywhere.

KO: 2pm
