2ND XV IN AN AWAY DERBY MATCH

STOP PRESS: The lads go down 17-5. Captain Ryan Armstrong with the try. Well played lads. Match Report – Now Online

The 1st XV a rest weekend so the 2nd XV will be flying the flag for the senior men this weekend as they take on Galloway at Stewartry

The 2nd XV are still looking of the first win of the season but will hopefully have a strong team on Saturday.

After the Galloway match there will be 8 matches left in this league season with 5 at Violetbank (6 if the postponed Kilmarnock match is replayed), so there is a great chance the lads can start to climb up the table as like most teams, any home match gives that extra boost to the player

Can all players make their availability known on spond thanks.

Kick off 2pm

2nd XV Squad: 1) Sean Armstrong 2) John Mackay 3) Ben Sweeny 4) Gordon Henderson 5) Duncan Kerr 6) Murray Forbes 7) Kyle Bell 8) Callum Taylor 9) Ryan Armstrong (Capt0 10) Lex Stevenson 11) Callum Smith 12) Max Thorburn 13) Kieran Johnston 4) Frazer Hope 15) Bradley James 16) Keir0n Riches 17) Tam Thorburn 18) Kyle McRoberts

WARRIORS XV ON THE ROAD TO GREENOCK

STOP PRESS: The match was abandoned after 3 minutes due to an injury, Speedy recovery.

Like the 2nd XV, the Warriors are still looking for the first win of the season as they travel to Greenock Wanderers Ladies on Sunday

The two teams have met on numerous occasions over the years and the matches are always competitive and physical and no doubt it will the same on Sunday,

With 3 matches remaining, time is running out for the Warriors but Coach Warrick will be hoping the Warriors will be returning to Violetbank with a few if not all the points.

After this match the Warriors have a tough match against promotion chasing Ayr then they are on the road to Oban Lorne Ladies in their last match.

It has a rebuilding season for the Warriors but with 38 players having played for the Warriors this season, the future is looking bright for the team

Kick off 2pm

YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION

STOP PRESS: The U18 Boys match is OFF. The U14 Girls will now play at Annan Academy.

The U16 Girls lose to Stirling County Girls. Top effort though Hornets.

The U14 Girls were awsome as always – Match Report – Now Online

4 youth teams in action this weekend if all goes well.

On Saturday ast Violetbank, another big match as the U16 Girls host Stirling County Girls. Will be a big ask but if the Girls can get the win then they have a great chance of being in the U16 Girls National Cup Final at the Hive Stadium in December. 11am kick off

Also at Violetbank but on the Sunday the U14 Girls will be hosting teams and players from around the region in the latest round of the U14 Girls Rugby Festivals. 11am start

On Saturday the U18 Boys will hopefully be away and taking on Renfrewshire. 2pm KO

While last and but not least the mighty P1-P7 Tigers are off to Moffat Rams to take on the host and others. 10.30am meet for a 11am start.

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend.
