2ND XV OFF TO STRATHAVEN

STOP PRESS: Great win for the lads as they win 43-19.

Match Report and Photos – Now Online

The 2nd XV are off to Strathaven on Saturday for the 5th match of their now shortened 8 match league season,

Unfortunately with clubs withdrawing from the league or deciding to merge with other teams the league has been reduced from 8 to just 5. Player numbers are at records numbers though according to certain organisations!

The lads still have a chance at potential “promotion” but they will need to a) win all their remaining 4 matches b) Beat Ardrossan along the way c) Hope that Ardrossan also lose at least 1 more match

And also d) as technically there is no “promotion” this year for winners as it was decided that

“Three teams will drop out of the Inter City Reserve League and, depending which Region these three teams drop into, the Regional Leagues will be restructured accordingly, although in terms of rankings in a restructure, the winners of the West 2 North and South Conferences will be ranked ahead of the bottom two West Reserve 1 teams in the restructure process”

So still something to play for as the league season enters the 2nd half of the fixtures.

Good luck lads.

2pm KO

2nd XV squad: 1) Sean Armstrong 2) John Mackay 3) Callum Taylor 4) Adam Dickson 5) Thomas Firby 6) Callum Kirk 7) Lex Stevenson 8) Gordon Henderson 9) Simon Dix (c) 10) Jonathan Callaghan 11) John Glendinning 12) Ben Conroy 13) Bradley James 14) Jack Ogilvie 15) Danny Lockerby 16) Keiron Watret (VC) 17) Andrew Jancey 18) Scott Muir
