The 2023/24 league season starts on Saturday as both the 1st XV and 2nd XV are on the road to Kilmarnock.

A tough opener for the teams as the East Ayrshire club is always a hard away trip.

The 1st XV lost last season in the corresponding fixture but did win in 2021 and will be hoping to play the rugby they did in that encounter!

The 2nd XV will also be hoping for a winning start to the season after a tough season last season. Not helped by lack of matches due to other teams pulling out of matches.

New 1st XV Captain Kieran Warrick and Coach Juan Phyfer will be wanting to lay down a marker on the kind of rugby Annan want to be playing this season in West Division 1

Good luck lads

Match Report – Now Online

The Warriors have the short-ish trip up the road to take on unbeaten Biggar Ladies on Sunday

After Sunday’s loss to Cartha Claymores, the Warriors will be wanting to get their season back on track with a win again the Biggar Ladies

It will be a tough ask though as the South Lanarkshire side are always a tough team to play and then beat.

The Warriors though when on the top of their game are a match for any of the teams in this league and they will be hoping to come back to Violetbank with some points in the bag.

Warrior Starting XV: Eilidh Jardine, Megan Brogan, Julie Warrick, Rhianna Parker-Clevett, Nicole Mullen, Ashley Clark (C), Ashley Cole, Kayleigh Warrick, Niamh Ross, Lexie Glendinning, Katie Morrison, Ellie Henderson, Joanne Clark, Amber Pattullo, Sarah Hunter
