See https://annanrugby.com/our-teams/ for more info.

At the weekend, as it stands we have just 3 squads in action but it may change so watch this space.

On Saturday it’s the big derby match away to Stewartry while on Sunday the U14 Girls are at Violetbank while the Warriors are on the road.Good luck to all the teams this weekend.

1ST XV ON AWAY TO STEWARTRY ON SATURDAY

Its Derby Day on Saturday as the 1st XV travel the short distance up the road to Castle Douglas to take on league leaders Stewartry 1st XV.

The Annan 1st XV had a great win last week v Ardrossan 1st XV and will wanting to take that form into the West 1/Chisholm 1st leg clash with the Greenlaw team.

Stewartry 1st XV are having a great season and are now favourites for the West 1 Championship. Against the Annan 1st XV they have finally hit their purple patch and have 5 wins in a row against Annan, their best run since their founding.

In competitive league and cup/chisholm cup games, Annan still have the edge with 18 wins to 12 but you have to go back to 2019 for their last win. The last of a 6 game winning streak for Annan.

Stewartry will be going into this game as big favorites, but if Annan can put out the team they had last week and play to their potential then anything is possible. Its a derby game!

Best of luck lads and a big Annan support would be welcome.

Kick off is 3pm.

Starting 1st XV: 1 Ryan Glass 2 Kieran Warrick 3 Jack Graham 4 Neal Coupland 5 Frazer Hope 6 Willie Grey 7 Jacob Campbell 8 Callum Bell 9 Aaron Carmichael 10 Josh Whiteside 11 James Kirby 12 Sean Haren 13 Johnny Callaghan 14 Andrew Jancey 15 Alex Halliday

THE WARRIORS TRAVEL TO BISHOPTON LADIES

The Warriors are on the road on Sunday as they travel to Bishopton Ladies in their latest league game.

This season the main plan for the Warriors has been to get matches under the belts of the new players that have joined the Warriors and despite the last few defeats the Warriors have suffered, every match adds to that learning experience.

The teams have already met this season at Violetbank, with the Warriors coming out on top on that occasion and will be hoping to reproduce the form they showed in that match on Sunday

Kick off: 2pm

Starting Warriors XV: TBC

Warriors XV Replacements: TBC

YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION

Only the U14 Girls are in action this weekend, as they face Netherhall U14 Girls in a friendly match at Violetbank.

The U14 Girls will be looking to continue their great form this season after their 4 wins from 4 in their last outing last weekend.

Kick off is still a TBC at the time of writing but if you are free, why not pop along to Violetbank and cheer on the Hornets

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend.
