WARRIORS IN DERBY CLASH AT STEWARTRY
STOP PRESS: Unfortunately this match has been cancelled and the Sirens have been awarded the points.
Due to injury, covid isolation and unavailable players, only 11 Warriors were available for this match.
On Friday, under the new Greenlaw floodlights, the Warriors take on hosts Stewartry.
The Warriors will be wanting to continue the form of last week when they ran in 7 tries past Ayr Ladies easing any relegation worries while the Sirens still have an outside chance winning National 1 so can not afford any slip ups.
Like all recent Stewartry v Annan clashes over the past couple of seasons, the Sirens have the upper hand over the Warriors but the Warriors will be trying their best to break the Stewartry sides current dominance over the senior Annan sides.
Kick Off: 7.30pm
Starting XV: TBC
Subs: TBC
1ST AND 2ND XV BOTH ON THE ROAD
STOP PRESS: The 1st XV went down to a heavy defeat at a windy Garnock 56-5. The only highlight being a try from a returning Willix.
On Saturday the 1st XV are away to Garnock while the 2nd XV are travelling to Cumnock.
Both teams will be wanting to continue their recent form but it will be a tough ask at promotion chasing Garnock and Cumnock away is never an easy match.
For the 1st XV, they have also never won at Garnock in the league with only 1 shield win to show for their 8 trips to Lochshore since 2007, and their last trip their in 2020 is one to forget!
But when the teams met earlier on in the season at Violetbank it was a fairly competitive match and it’s about time the Annan had another win in Garnock!
The 2nd XV have fared better at Cumnock over the years and won their match at Violetbank earlier this season so will be hoping to travel down the road with some points in the bag.
Its hopeful that both teams will have full squads with players returning from injury and covid isolation.
