10 SQUADS IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND
A fairly hectic weekend again at Annan Rugby as up to 10 teams in action over the Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday the 2nd XV are hopefully in action as they host Ardrossan Accies while the U18 lads are at home to Carrick. The 1st XV do not have a match.
On Sunday the Warriors are off to Kelso, the 3 P1-P7 Tigers teams are away to Moffat, the U16 Boys are away to Wigtownshire while the U14-U18 Girls squads are hopefully off to Newton Stewart (TBC)
2ND XV AT HOME TO ARDROSSAN

After 3 weeks without any rugby, the 2nd XV lads were just glad to get some rugby action at the Greenlaw.
The match was 2 x 30 mins halves and Annan had 14 plus a borrowed player thanks to Stewartry.

STOP PRESS: The 2nd XV are now away to Stewartry for a friendly match as the Ardrossan match is cancelled. 1pm KO at the Greenlaw.
Any players that are available to play – please contact Captain Ben Conroy. Meet at 11am at Violetbank for the 1pm KO.
The 2nd XV are hopefully in action on Saturday as they host Ardrossan Accies.
The lads will be glad to get some rugby action having not played now for 3 weeks.
Ardrossan have been struggling for numbers of late but hopefully will have enough on Saturday for their trip to Violetbank.
The 1st XV have a week off due to the odd number of teams in their league.
A decent Saturday of rugby at Violetbank with the U18 Boys hosting Carrick so if you can get up to Violetbank your support will be most appreciated.

Due to some last minute call offs, Annan only had 7 players but Carrick lent Annan some players & an 11-a-side match was played.

The U18 Boys also have a home tie on Saturday as they host Carrick in their latest Development league match.
The lads have been involved in some tough matches of late but are improving every week.

WARRIORS OFF TO KELSO ON SUNDAY
STOP PRESS: The match has been POSTPONED due to Covid precautions.
After last weeks postponement, the Warriors will be on the road this Sunday to take on Kelso Ladies.
The teams have met a couple of times in friendlies and the Plate but this will the first meeting of the teams in the leagues.
The Warriors won the 2 friendly matches but Kelso Ladies pipped the Warriors in the last meeting in the Plate competition back in February 2020.
Will be tough match against the Borders club but as always the Warriors will be up for it in search of their first win of the season.

U16 BOYS ON THE ROAD
STOP PRESS: The U16 Boys come away with with a 48-34 win.
Annan travelled with 9, so with Wigtownshire providing 2 players a 11-a-side match was played.

The U16 Boys are on the road once again as they travel to Wigtownshire on Sunday in their latest Development League match.
The lads are low on number but not on spirit and will be hoping to show that again on Sunday.

The U14 Boys do not have match this week.
U14-U18 GIRLS HOPEFULLY IN ACTION
STOP PRESS: The Hornets have a great day. Playing 7, winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 2.

The U14-U16 girls are are off to Newton Stewart on Sunday. Kick off 12.30pm.
The U17 Girls are now home to Dumfries on Wednesday. 7pm kick off.
P1-P7 TIGERS AWAY TO MOFFAT
The P1-P7 Tigers are away to Moffat on Sunday. The Tigers had a great time last weekend versus Dumfries and will be eager once again to show off their rugby skills.
Players and parents to meet at 10.30am for the 11am start.
