BIG MATCH FOR THE 2ND XV

With the 1st XV taking a break from league action this weekend, it’s the 2nd XV who take centre stage on Saturday at Violetbank and its some match as 4th placed Annan take on 2nd placed Marr.

The teams met earlier in the season when Marr ran out 33-24 winners and no doubt Saturdays match will be just as close.

Annan have played the same number of matches as Marr but currently find themselves 9 points behind, so Saturdays match is a chance for the mighty twos to get to within 4-5 points of Marr.

After Saturday’s match, it doesn’t get any easier for Annan as the Twos host 1st placed Carrick. These two matches could determine if Annan could be challenging for the West Reserve 3 (south) league title next year.

As always the mighty Twos are on the lookout for new and available players for Saturday. Drop 2nd XV Team manager Gavin Lynch a message or on 07554 494262 if you are available.

5 Tiger teams in action on Sunday weather permitting.

STOP PRESS: The P1-P7 Tigers trip to Stewartry on Sunday has been postponed until the new year. Date TBC

The three P1-P7 Tigers squads are off to Stewartry Rugby on Sunday for the latest mini rugby festival on the Greenlaw pitches. Parents and players to meet at Stewartry Rugby at 10.30am for the 11am kick off.

The U16 Tigers are back in league action at Violetbank when they host Cambuslang. The lads will be hoping to continue the  form they showed in their last match v Stewartry. Players to meet at Violetbank as arranged with the coaches for the 2pm kick off.

And last, but by no means least, the inform U14 Tigers, undefeated so far this season, travel the short journey to Langholm for a friendly match. Players to meet as arranged with the coaches for the 10.30am kick off.
