STOP PRESS: The 1st XV go down 17-12. Unlucky lads. Points: Ryan A (T), Josh (C), Capt Kieran (T)
Match report and photos. – Now Online
The 1st XV are back on the road on Saturday for their penultimate away league trip of the season as they travel to Strathaven
Annan are currently sitting in 5th in table, 4 points behind Strathaven who sit in 4th, albeit Annan do have 3 games in hand.
With just 4 matches to go Annan could still get themselves up into 3rd come the end of the season but will the teams left to play it will be a tough ask and with the middle of the table as tight as it is, a 8th place finish is also possible!
The lads did win last time the teams met at Strathaven and the players and coaches will be up for making it 2 from 2 on Saturday
3pm KO

Match Report – Now Online
The Annan 2nd XV are back at Violetbank on Saturday for only their 4th home tie of a long, but short on matches, season as they welcome Ambleside Centurions
Its only the the teams 13th match as we wind down to the end of season 2024/25 but hopefully next season a new and improved 2nd XV league structure will be in place allowing for a few more matches and hopefully a few more teams traveling to Violetbank.
As adult men player numbers decline all over Scotland, its always been great that at Annan we have managed to put out 2 teams most weeks when matches are available, unfortunately we usually have to travel to get the matches but here’s to a better season next season.
There will be a BBQ and beers after the match. All welcome.
And many thanks to 2nd XV Team Manager Steve Jancey, who is standing down at the end of this season, from all the lads in the 2nd XV and Annan Rugby in general. Cheers Steve! Enjoy your Team manager free Saturdays!

Its cup action this week as we have 3 Cup finals on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, plus the mighty P1-P7 Tigers are in action!
On Thursday evening the always impressive Annan U16 Girls take on local friends and rivals Dumfries Girls in the final of the West Shield. A derby match to end the season. 7.30pm KO up at Violetbank.
On Saturday its the Annan/Moffat U18 Boys turn as they are on the road (as always seems to be the case this season!) to Oban Lorne for the West Chairman’s Trophy final. The teams met earlier in the season with the hosts coming out on top but the lads will be up to getting their name of the trophy. TBC KO
While on Sunday the Annan/Moffat U16 Boys host Lanark U16 Boys at Violetbank in the West Quaich Final. Both teams were unbeaten in the groups stages and had impressive semi final wins so a cracking and close match expected. TBC KO
Also on Sunday before the U16 Boys final, the P1-P7 Tigers are welcoming Wigton Rugby to Violetbank. 10am meet for a 10.30am start.
Beest of luck to all the teams this weekend
