The teams get ready for the start of the new league season as the Annan Men are off to Wigton (1st XV) and Creighton (2nd XV), the Annan Warriors are away to Cumnock while the U16 Girls and U18 Boys are off to Moffat.

New players always wanted and welcome for any of the training going on.

Monday

Walking Rugby – all welcome.  6pm to 7.30pm up at Violetbank

P1-P7 Free Rugby Camp. 10am to 2pm up at Violetbank

Men Ages 17+ training. 7pm to 9pm up at Violetbank

Wednesday

P1-P7 Free Rugby Camp. 10am to 2pm up at Violetbank

U16 Girls training. 6.30pm to 8.30pm up at Violetbank

U14 Girls training. 6.30pm to 8.30pm up at Violetbank

U14 Boys training. 6pm to 8pm up at Violetbank

ANNAN MEN ON THE ROAD

STOP PRESS: Great win for the U16 Girls as they scored 13 tries to 5 against Galloway U16 Girls. The U17 Boys played a mixed squad match with Moffat and Stewarty


The Annan Men continue their pre season on Saturday as both the 1st and 2nd XV are on the road in their latest pre season matches.

The 1st XV are off to Wigton while the 2nd XV are away at Creighton

The league season starts next Saturday at Violetbank as the team’s host Strathaven so both sets of players and coaches will be hoping to see the last 6 weeks of pre season training on the rugby pitches on Saturday

ANNAN WARRIORS ALSO ON THE ROAD

STOP PRESS: Great win on the road for the Warriors as they come out on top 55-29. Well played Warriors


The Annan Warriors start their 1st pre season match of the Season on Sunday as they travel to Cumnock.

The Warriors league season starts a few weeks later than the men, so Sundays match is the 1st of 3 matches before the Warriors host Hamilton on the 8th September to start league life in West 2.

Coach Warrick will be hoping to see a continuation of the rugby the Warriors showed a few weeks ago at the Moffat Tens but this time in 15 a side form

YOUTH SQUADS IN ACTION

STOP PRESS: The 2nd XV match is OFF and the players available travelled with the 1st XV. Final score was 46-21 to Wigton. Was within a score until the last 10 minutes when injuries took their toll


2 youth squads are off to Moffat on Saturday as part of the hosts 30th Anniversary celebrations.

The U16 Girls will be taking on Moffat/Galloway U16 Girls while the U18 Boys will be combining with Moffat to take on Galloway U18 Boys.

1.30pm KO for the U16 Girls

3pm KO for the U18 Boys
