1ST XV IN HUGE HOME MATCH V IRVINE

STOP PRESS: Match Postponed.

If you are not in the Clubhouse on Saturday, then Violetbank is the place to be as both the 1st and 2nd XV are in league action.

The 1st XV are hosting Irvine in a match that Annan really need win if they are want to try and stay out of the bottom 3 places.

With 2 matches to play for both teams, Irvine are currently 1 point ahead of Annan in 4th bottom spot.

The team’s final matches are against East Kilbride (for Annan) and Allan Glens (for Irvine), so based on current form Saturdays match could be the last chance for either team to pick up a much needed win.

Big match then for both teams with Irvine the inform team with 3 wins on the bounce but at Violetbank, Annan have won their last 3 home matches.

Players to meet at 1.30pm for the 3pm kick off

Starting 1st XV team from: N Graham, K Warrick, J Crombie, D Nordon, B Thomson, C Bell, W Gray, S Haren, A Carmichael, J Bigham, A Torbett, D Wyllie, H Houdley, J Kirby, A Halliday, J Whiteside, R Martin, C Smith, S Livingston.

2ND XV AT HOME TO THE LEAGUE LEADERS

STOP PRESS: Match Postponed.

The 2nd XV are also at home on Saturday as they entertain league leaders Carrick.

With 4 matches to go in the 2019/20 league season, the Annan 2nd XV have a great chance of clinching 3rd spot.

The teams met back in October when Carrick ran out 26-0 winners so the Annan lads will be hoping to reverse that scoreline on Saturday.

The 2nd XV are actually unbeaten this season at home, albeit only 3 league matches and a friendly have been played at Violetbank, but the 2nd XV will no doubt be wanting to keep this record to the end of the season

As always the mighty Twos are on the lookout for new and available players for Saturday. Drop 2nd XV Team manager Gavin Lynch a message or on 07554 494262 if you are available.
