U14 GIRLS AT CUMNOCK RUGBY

FESTIVAL
5TH NOVEMBER 2023

MATCH REPORT FROM TEAM MANAGER TERRI GRAHAM

Alahna, Ayda, Chloe, Sophie and Taylor travelled to Cumnock to join our friends from Wigtownshire for the latest festival round.

6 games were played throughout the day against Dumfries, Ayr, Marr, Cumnock, Stewartry and Kilmarnock.

Our Hornets, along with their blended teammates, continue to improve on the pitch every week. The only notable difference is speed in some players against their opposition, some fitness work will strengthen our wee team a lot.

Player Notes

Alahna – consistent strong tackles, never gives up the chase, scored 4 tries overall.

Ayda – speedy up the wing, great hands for offloads and excellent presentation in the rucks.

Chloe – our youngest Hornet, always looking to learn something new, very keen to get hands on the ball.

Sophie – powerful carry’s and drives through the opposition, good tackling, always keen to get on the pitch.

Taylor – our newest Hornet, always gets stuck in to tackles and rucks, scored her first try on her second outing with this team. (Maybe picking up some tips from her dad, Annan’s very own Kev Jones?).

Annan’s player of the festival – Taylor. Well done!

U14 Hornets play their next festival on 19th November at Violetbank.
