MOFFAT U14 GIRLS v ANNAN U14 GIRLS

MATCH REPORT FROM JAMES CABLE

On Sunday 19th March the U14 Hornets travelled to Holm Park to play Moffat.

The Girls played 12 a side, full pitch, with three 20 min thirds of play. (Both sides had some U15 players to make up numbers)

Moffat soon got underway with an early try and by the end of the first 20 minutes the Hornets were 17 points down.

In the second 20 minutes the Hornets found their feet, with three tries and two conversions. The Hornets were back in the game!

The final third saw Moffat score three more tries and one conversion, the Hornets replied with two tries, both converted.

Final score: Moffat 34 Annan 31

The Hornets played very well but in such a close game the little things counted for a lot. There were lots of positives to take from this game, particularly when the Hornets were 17 points down, they kept their heads high and got on with the job in hand.

There were some good individual performances, Pagan’s end to end run of the pitch with a great offload to Yvie for the penultimate try.
