Annan U16 Boys travelled with 18 keen lads up to Kilmarnock on Sunday and started very well, being lead by captain Mason Gibb for the afternoon.

Annan held their own for a great deal of the game just being unlucky with the Kilmarnock hooker – yes hooker – who could sprint like a gazelle round the park, scoring a couple of individual tries.

Annan tries came from Oban supporting well and Rohan doing 1 of his bulldozing close to the line tries.

Annan could have had a third after Jake made an amazing run down the touch line but he was going so quick by the time he could slow down he ran out of the dead ball area.

Final Score: 33-12 to Kilamarnock

All the boys played very well but special mentions must go to Alistair, Aaron, Daniel and Nate who covered every inch of the pitch and tackled everyone in their path.

It was a good contested game and all boys should be proud of themselves. Thanks must also go to Ian Kerr for running touch and giving his wisdom on the best line of attack.
