REPORT FROM COACH BILLY HENDERSON

We travelled to Biggar on Wednesday evening to play our rearranged cup fixture.

We were playing Biggar Reds team (Biggar have 2 U16 Girls teams) and no disrespect intended but the Reds are the younger and less experienced players. It ended 50-0 to Annan

We have had 2 defeats in the previous weeks and havent played well, but last night we improved.

Still things we are not doing as the coaches ask but improving.

Two girls came back from injury and had a good 1/2 game action.

Emily Harrison put in some good tackles (as always) and was quick into rucks.

Josie Halliday was impressive. Playing with determination and mostly kicking well

Many tanks to Biggar Reds who did battle away all night and were unlucky not to score at the start of the 2nd half when Annan’s concentration lapsed. But Annan did defend their line well.

Well done to all girls from both teams and thanks to the ref (Colin) who was probably the best we have had all season

We now play Falkirk on Sunday at Violoetbank in the last of the Cup league schedule. Do we progress further? Time will tell
