ANNAN 2ND XV v STRATHAVEN 2ND XV

On Sat 24th August a strong Annan second team played their first game of the league campaign.

A fine solo try by second row James Morrison opened this season’s try scoring account. Converted by centre Bradley James.

Not to be outshone our other second row player Kieron Watret nailed another try to the colours again converted by Bradley James.

Strathaven replied with a good try of their own making the score at half time 14-5 in Annan’s favour.

The second half saw the team start to click with further tries scored by Bradley James, Ewan Campbell (2), JJ Mackay and Andrew Jancey. Bradley James had his kicking boots on and added the extras.

Player /coach Andrew Jancey was pleased with the performance and Annan now have five league points.

Next Sat Annan second team travel to Dalziel for a friendly with the 1st team, who are playing Dalziel in a league fixture.

The second teams next league fixture is away to East Kilbride on Saturday 14th Sept.
