With Oban Lorne Ladies looking like they are romping to the 1 promotion spot, with the Sirens perhaps the only team that can stop them, the other battle is at the bottom of the table.

To keep it short: it was 14-0 to the home side at half-time, with the Lenzie Ladies taking their chances and the Warriors not quite managing to take theirs.

In the 2nd half it went 19-0 before Megan Phillips-Craig crashed over with 20 to go to make it 19-5

However, that was as close as the Warriors got – it ended 38-5

Congrats to Lenzie on the win.

For the Warriors, a more disciplined display from last week but not managing to convert all their chances as well as Lenzie. Lots of positives but plenty to work on this week at training.

The Warriors have 3 home matches in the 2nd half of the league season against Oban, Bishopton and Lenzie and away to Stewartry and Hillhead Jordanhill 2nd XV – so still plenty of chances to turn it around and get off the bottom of the table

The 1 relegated team will almost certainly come from the Warriors, Bishopton, Lenzie and Hillhead Jordanhill. Matches against these three teams will be key to the Warriors’ hopes of staying in West 1 next season.

For the record, the Warriors Player of the Match (as picked by Lenzie) and Warriors Back of the Match was Allana McWilliam while Megan Cother was the Warriors Forward of the Match
