In the first half, it indeed did as Annan took into the break a 3-20 lead!

After early penalty exchanges, the black and amber upped their game and 2 great tries from Aaron Carmichael and then Bradley James extended the lead. On the stroke of half-time, James Kirby kicked his 2nd penalty to add to his 2 conversions.

Aarons try was a Try of the Season contender as his collected the ball in the Annan 22 and he danced passed 7 East Kilbride players on his way to dotting down under the posts.

Bradleys try was not quite as far but it was a well worked try as camped on the East Kilbride try line, scrum half Fraser McMillan spotted Bradley in acres of space and with no defenders in front of him Bradley waltzed over for the try

Into the 2nd half – could the lads keep it up and hold on for their long away first league win of the season?

It was a nervy first 25, but James Kirby kicked Annan further in front before, with 15 to go, East Kilbride scored to make it 8-23

James Kirby added his 4th penalty with 15 to go, wiith East Kilbride getting their 2nd try consolation try near the end.

It ended 15-26 to the black and Amber

Great result from all 20 players with the Annan scrum being dominant and the defence and attack of the backs was great to see

The lads enjoyed the after-match shandies and journey home and many thanks to East Kilbride for the match and their hospitality.
