RUGBY MATCHES

1ST XV OFF TO STRATHAVEN

After last weeks poor performance and result at home to Dalziel, the Annan 1st XV have 4 matches left to get the points needed to avoid relegation come the end of the season. The 4 matches are away to 2nd placed Strathaven, home to 10th placed Cumnock, away to 3rd placed Lenzie and away to 9th placed Greenock Wanderers.

8th placed Annan basically need to ensure they outperform Cumnock and Greenock in their remaining matches to be playing West 1 rugby next season.

With Annan meeting Cumnock and Greenock in 2 of the 4 matches – it is these matches that will be most important but Saturday’s match away to Strathaven if Annan could come away with any points or even a win would be huge.

The teams met earlier in the season when the South Lanarkshire side won easily so the Annan lads know they will have to be firing on all cylinders to get anything from this match.

Match kicks off at 2pm

YOUTH TEAMS IN ACTION

The U13 Boys are in action on Sunday as they host to Lanark for their third league match of 2026. The lads will be wanting to bounce back after last weeks defeat

Kick off: 2pm

The U17 Girls are travelling to Biggar on Sunday with the D&G U17 Girls as the team continue their West U17 Girls Cup Campaign. This is the 2nd match of 5 group matches. The team had a great win last week away to Cambuslang.

Kick off: TBC

While on Sunday up at Violetbank there is also going to be a U11 & U13 Girls Rugby Festival. 10.30am meet for 11.15am KO.

All Under 10, 11, 12, 13 girls welcome to come along even if it’s their first time.

Best of luck to all the teams this weekend
