ANNAN RUGBY ENTERS A NEW CHAPTER AS A SCOTTISH CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION (SCIO)

2ND AUGUST 2025

Annan Rugby is delighted to announce that it has officially transitioned to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), a significant step forward in the club’s ongoing development and long-term sustainability.

This new status strengthens our foundation as a community-focused organisation, opening up new opportunities for funding, improving governance, and enhancing our ability to deliver rugby and wider community programmes for all ages and abilities across Dumfries and Galloway.

The formation of the SCIO marks a new chapter in our journey, one that builds on the club’s proud history while looking confidently to the future.

We are also pleased to introduce our inaugural board of trustees, who will help guide the club forward:

Neil Moffat, Chair
Niall Smith, Treasurer
Fiona Latimer, Secretary
David Murray, Trustee
Craig McCann, Trustee

Their collective experience, passion for the game, and deep-rooted ties to the local area ensure the club remains in strong and capable hands.

We look forward to working together with our members, players, volunteers, and the wider community as we take this exciting step forward. Thank you to everyone who continues to support Annan Rugby, on and off the field.

Here’s to the future, stronger, united, and community driven.
