Match Report, photos and highlights – Now Online
In the past 10 years since the formation of the Annan Warriors, the team have been promoted, won championships, been in the top division but had never been to a Murrayfield Final. Until now.
On Saturday the Annan Warriors will take to the Hive Stadium pitch at Murrayfield for the National Plate Final.
Their opponents are Garioch Ladies 2nd XV
The Warriors and Garioch have met before but this was against their 1st XV team (2 wins and 4 loses)) the Warriors have never played Garioch 2nd XV before.
After the group stages when the Warriors emerged with maximum points, a great but nervy win over Lenzie Ladies in the Semi Final is the reason why the Warriors are in the Final on Saturday.
It will a historic day for the Warriors and whatever the result, it will be a day that will live long in the memories of the players and coahces and the large number of supporters that are making the trip.
Go well Warriors, all at Annan Rugby are behind you.
3,30pm kick off.

1ST XV FINAL LEAGUE MATCH OF THE SEASON
STOP PRESS: Congratulations to Kilmarnock who won 63-19 today up at Violetbank to clinch the West 1 title. The Annan lads were always up against it today but did manage to score 3 tries and were unlucky not to get a few more.
That concluded the 1st XV league season for 2024/25,
Match Report – Now Online
With West 1 rugby secured for next season quite a few matches ago it’s been a strange end of season set of matches for the 1st XV.
The team have lost their last 3 matches and will go into Saturday’s matches against Kilmarnock as massive underdogs. Kilmarnock need 1 point to secure the West 1 title but are basically Champions already unless Annan win by around 200 points and Lenzie pick up 2 bonus point wins in their last 2 matches!
The task in hand has been made even tougher as due to a large number of 1st XV regulars being unavailable for this match due to Warriors final at Murrayfield as their wives and girlfriend will be in the Warriors squad for this historic event.
With a lot of other senior players also off to the final, it will be a different look for the 1st XV in this last match of the season with potentially a number of 1st XV debutants.
A home win is probably not on the cards but the players that do take to the Violetbank pitches will, as always, give 100% for the Black and Amber.
Good luck lads.
