Match Report and Photos – Now Online

For the final time this league season the 1st XV are on their travels and its the long one, away to Oban.

This match was to have been played last month but lack of front row cover meant the game could not start and as a result Annan were docked 3 points.

With it being confirmed that only 2 teams will be relegated this season from West 1 to West 2, Annan know they have already amassed the points to be safe from the relegation battle.

Last week the 1st XV squad selected was one of the youngest for quite a number of seasons as the coaches have one eye on next season.

Oban are currently siting in 4th and are a tough team to beat at home but Annan were most certainly be up for the challenge as the team aim to end the season with a decent run

Match Report, Highlights and Photos – Now Online

This is the big one on Sunday as the Warriors travel to Lenzie for the National Plate Semi Final. For the winner a trip to Murrayfield and a match at the Hive Stadium on the 19th April!

The Warriors have made it this far once before in their history when they were beaten by Grangemouth Stagettes at the same stage two years ago but the Warriors will be aiming for one better this time.

Both teams won all their group matches and scored over 400 points between them in the 7 matches so a high scoring match is possible but both defences were also on top so who knows! A great competitive come is most likely.

The teams have only ever met once, a few months ago in a Cup preseason friendly match. The home side ran out big winners against a scratch Warriors side with numerous players playing out of position but with the players at Coaches Warrick and Heughan’s disposal this week a far stronger Warriors team will be taking to the Viewfield pitch on Sunday aiming to to bring home the win,

Good luck Warriors from all at Annan Rugby
