WARRIORS HOST THE WASPS

STOP PRESS: Unfortunately the opposition could not raise the players willing to travel to Annan so the match is OFF

After last week’s great win over Dumfries, the Warriors now face a tougher challenge in the form of the Greenock Wanderers Wasps.

The Wasps are the 2nd XV of Greenock Wanderers. The Warriors have played their 1st XV on many occasions but this will be the first meeting of the Warriors and the Wasps.

In the National Plate there are 4 groups of 5 or 6 teams. Only the group winners go through to the semi final stage (should really be top 2 in my opinion) so every match is like a cup final as if you lose, qualification is out of your hands.

The Wasps lost their 1st match to Cartha 2nd XV and so they know their chances of qualifying are now slim but will no doubt be up for stopping the Warriors from making it 2 from 2.

For the Warriors they will be wanting to continue the great rugby shown in last weeks win over Dumfries to take into this fixture and the remaining 3 group fixures.

Best of luck Warriors

KO 2pm
