P1-P3 Match Report from: Craig Johnstone

Six enthusiastic P1-P3 Micros traveled to the sunny hills of Lanark for the first mini festival of the season.

The Micros first game was against hosts Lanark, Annan Micros got off to the perfect start with Reuben scoring Annan’s first try within 30 seconds of kickoff. The Micros continued to perform well with wave upon waves of attacking forward play from Meris and Travis, both adding to the scoreboard.

Lanark come back into the game with a couple of tries of their own but thanks to a strong defensive display from Gregor, Harris and Louie, Annan held out for the win.

The Micros second and final game was against local rivals Moffat Rams! Annan got of to a bad start conceding a try early on and Meris receiving a ball to the face from a stray pass. Temporarily down to 5 players, Harris, Louie and Reuben worked well in defence holding back some strong Rams attack’s.

Thankfully Meris recovered and got onto the field of play to help out. Thanks to some excellent runs and passing from Gregor and Louie, Annan were able to put some points on the scoreboard with tries from Travis, Reuben, Meris and Harris.

A big well done to all the Micros, an excellent performance from all!!

Also a big thank you to all their families for their continued support.
