RUGBY MATCHES

2ND XV WELCOME WHITECRAIGS

The 2nd XV welcome Whitecraigs to Violetbank on Saturday for their latest West Reserve 1 league match.

The team will be wanting to pu last weeks defeat to Dumfries behind them and try and get their 3rd win of the league season.

With 9 matches still to play, the Annan squad still have a great chance of a top half finish.

Match kicks off at 2pm

WARRIORS ON THE ROAD

The Warriors host undefeated and league leaders Oban on Sunday for their latest league clash.

For the Highland team it’s a must win match with 2nd placed Lenzie (who they still have to play in their last match) only 5 points behind them in the league

Oban last played at Violetbank back in 2017 as the 3 other Violetbank league meetings since then were cancelled as Oban did not have a team able to travel to Violetbank.

The 2 matches that have been played at Violetbank (Bowl and League) the Warriors won both of them and they will be hoping to make it 3 from 3 come 3.30pm on Sunday but know it will be a tough ask against the league leaders

At the weekend we have 3 Youth sections in action

On Saturday the U18 Boys are at home to leaders Hamilton for their latest league match. 2pm KO

On Sunday the U13 Boys welcome Strathaven to Violetbank while the U6-U12 Tigers host Stewartry Sharks. 10am meet for a 11am start
