Match Report, Highlights and Photos – Now Online

After 2 defeats on the road, the 1st XV are back at Violetbank for their penultimate league match of the season.

At home on the league Annan have only lost once (against Lenzie) in 7 matches and will be wanting to keep up this great home record on Saturday.

Saturdays opponents are National Shield Finalists East Kilbride who were actually the last team to beat Annan at Violetbank in the National Shield back in October.

Since then Annan have won the next 4 home matches

Its been a stop start season with this being the 1st XV’s 6th home match in 6 months with huge breaks in between matches but the lads will be aiming for a win on Saturday as they try and get into the top half of the table.

The 1st XV’s last home match is on the 19th April against league leaders Kilmarnock, who although technically need 1 more point to guarantee promotion are basically up due to their superior points difference over Lenzie. With the Annan Warriors and most of Annan Rugby off to Murrayfield on the same day, it could be a different looking 1st XV hosting Kilmarnock!

For the record, Ryan Glass will hopefully be taking to the rugby pitches on Saturday for the 200th for the Annan 1st XV in a competitive match since his debut back in 2013. Amazing effort Ryan
