WIGTOWNSHIRE U14 GIRLS v ANNAN U14 GIRLS

MATCH REPORT FROM TERRI GRAHAM

17 U14 Hornets travelled to Wigtownshire for the final game of 2022. Despite the long journey and cold weather, each and every one of the girls gave a great performance on the pitch.

The teams played 3 x 20 minutes with 4 Annan girls playing for Wigtownshire for each of the 20 minutes.

The tries from both sides came thick and fast right from the first whistle. Great tackles from the Hornets and they were quick to get into their rucks. With some guidance from Hannah, Niamh and Ellie from U18 Hornets, the Annan girls were moving the ball quickly through the hands and getting through the gaps to the try line. Communication between the girls continues to improve whilst they are on the pitch.

After their game, the girls gave some sideline support to the Warriors during their match.

The Hornets were kitted out in their Christmas jumpers and added to the fundraising pot for My Name’5 Doddie foundation.
A perfect end to the year, girls!
