P4-P5 Tigers report from: Neil Moffat

On a pleasant dry day at the muckle toon Annan’s P4/5 mini section took the field to play against some different opposition from recent outings, travelling with 9 enthusiastic players.

Annan’s first game was against Langholm Red but despite the team playing some good rugby they were beat 8 – 4.

Annans next two games were against two well established borders clubs Jedburgh and Hawick, where they burst the round ball and replace it with an oval one. Both sides were well organised, both beating Annan 7 scores to 2.

After a lengthy break Langholm Blue was next up. This was a tighter contest with the Annan player’s starting to get in the swing of things and scoring some great tries despite losing 7 – 4.

A quick turn around saw the team play their last game of the day against Dumfries. This was a very well battled contest with outcome a narrow defeat 5 – 3.

All in all the player’s enjoyed the run around and I’m sure if we played a 6th game we would have won! Hopefully McKinley’s shoulder gets better soon after some big tackles.
